Anand Rathi is a gold medalist Chartered Accountant of 1966 batch from Jodhpur. He is the founder of Anand Rathi Group and one of the leading financial and investment experts in India. He started Anand Rathi Financial Services Limited, in August 1994. Since then he has built up this to a leading full services investment bank, and has rapidly expanded to over 350 locations across in India and abroad.

Rathi was the President of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) during 1999-2000. During his tenure, he played a key role in setting up and expanding online trading system in BSE, Trade Guarantee Fund and Central Depository Services Limited. Prior to setting up his own business, he has worked with DCM Limited, Swadeshi Polytex Lilmited and Aditya Birla Group (as Senior President of Indian Rayons).

With his immense experience and expertise, Rathi will guide The Jodhpur Initiative as a Member of its Board of Trustees towards the development of the service industry, particularly Information Technology and Finance.
